Why would Austria play hard to beat Algeria

I never said that they will play hard to beat them BUT relying on a draw and getting the upset with a late Goal that will eliminate you is exremely risky and i have doubts that they will go for a draw.

So Iran are still more likely to qualify than not, but this is a surprisingly realistic elimination scenario.

Very Badly! We were desperately missing Azmoun in all 3 games. Taremi really hasn't done shit besides drawing fouls..Having Azmoun is so cruical, not just because he's the best finisher we have, but because he makes Taremi more useful too. Not sure Taremi was really ever good at being a lone striker, maybe only at Porto years ago, but in TM, he's always played next to or behind Azmoun.


For a good consistent PK taker that he's been throughout his career, that was a terrible PK tonight! Telegraphed it the whole way to the GK by opening up his hips way too early - as soon as he had a nervous twitch and played with his face right before taking the PK, I was like oh nooo, that's not a good sign.

Yes, but the goalkeeper was further up from the goal than Khalilzadeh. You need to have two players ahead of you to be onside, Most people don't know the goalkeeper is usually counted as well in most other instances where there is an offside.

Is there a pic of the exact second you are talking about. This is the first time I have ever heard that you need 2 people to keep a player onside.Its always been one.
