They booed the Crab national anthem today
97 likes, 10 comments - vot_india on June 21, 2026: "Ahead of Iran’s FIFA World Cup Group G match against Belgium at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, sections of the crowd loudly booed the Iranian national anthem for the second consecutive game. The reaction came despite calls to “applaud for peace,” highlighting how political tensions continued to influence the tournament atmosphere. #FIFAWorldCup2026 #Iran #Belgium #WorldCup #FootballNews".

Anyone know what Taremi was saying to the players at the end of the game in the huddle circle ??

you can clearly see now why CQ did not think Mohebi and Ghadaei were at the international level , both have sucked a lot especially Mohebi,,,, with all the minutes he getting ,,,, Ghadaei yes he can dribble players in UAE league ,,, but this level is too much for him ….

Apparently, this was the oldest starting 11 in the history of WC since the 1998 German team.

I guess you can call it the last "Dance" for this generation

cause after this WC all of them have to retire.

Interestingly Egypt might face a much tougher opponent if they are first as it would be the 3rd place team of A/E/H/I/J. From group A, it can likely only happen to be Czechia if they defeat Mexico in Mexico City, which the odds are low. From Group E, it's very unlikely as I don't see Ecuador defeating Germany or Curaçao defeating Ivory Coast. From Group H, Uruguay would have to upset Spain. So the opponent would very likely be either Senegal/Norway (Group I) or Algeria/Austria (Group J).

Whereas finishing 2nd, they would face the winner of Australia vs Paraguay of Group C (or Australia if they draw).

If they finish 3rd, it would be either the winner of Canada/Switzerland (or Canada if they draw) or France...

So Egypt's best option is likely to finish second in the group.

Not guaranteed but very likely as 8 out of 12 3rd place teams go through, surely there will be a few 3rd place teams with less them 3 points or with 3 points but a negative goal difference.

That's okay, that's the flag of Iran, as long as it's without the Monarchist crown and wreath around.

Mohebbi was on defensive duties today, he's still a player with decent pace, flair and finishing for more offensive games.

Really a shame Azmoun is not a part of it. What a team it would have been with him.

Azmoun has scored exactly ZERO goal for us in the WC.
