Bingo … you clearly see we have zero tactics and no game plan ,,, basically just kick the ball hope for the best …..

azmoun would have at least added a dimension we are missing a lot , a player who can hold the ball longer than 5 seconds and create something out of nothing …

this team has no creativity in the offensive side of the game ….

whenever you goalie is the man of the match , it just means you were on a end of a on slot ,

from the way all the groups are sorting out , you fucked up majorly by letting New Zealand tie us …. We basically said good bye to the round of 32 after that game …. One game you had to just win ,,, was that game ,,,,, no one expect Iran to beat Belgium fine you got a 0-0 and against eygpt maybe get another 0-0 ?? That 5 points that is more than enough !!

now we either going to 2 points or 3 pts which is not enough ,, unless we win then we get 5 points and we win the group which would be wild but I think that is the only way we can actually have a chance to qualify….

You are 100% right about that, NZ was garbage, we let our guards down defensively about Chris Wood and paid the price by dropping 2 points when it should have been a clear 3 points. I am confident with Azmoun the outcome could have been an easy 3 or 4-1 victory for Iran.

That is leaving everything to chance man there is no guarantee… once you had teams like these win there 1st games , it make it really difficult..

Ghana (1-0 win over Panama)
Sweden ( 5-1 win over Tunisia )
Austria ( 4-1 win over Jordan)
Bosnia ( tie and has Qatar last game will be a win)
Scotland ( 1-0 over Haiti)
Paraguay (1-0 win over turkey )

that is 6 teams right there and only 2 more spots left


And 4 more groups are still yet to play and there are at least 4 teams who have zero points right now who will probably win there games so we will have 10 teams who will have 3 points going into the last week and only 8 go to the round of 32 so how can 3 points be enough it won’t … you need minimum 4 pts ….

only way I see it is either New Zealand and Belgium tie and we tie with eygpt maybe and we finish 2nd or we have to beat eygpt and finish 1st …

Apparently, this was the oldest starting 11 in the history of WC since the 1998 German team.

I guess you can call it the last "Dance" for this generation

cause after this WC all of them have to retire.

One thing I felt we lacked in previous world cups was confidence against European sides, maybe the age has given them that. Imagine having the pace of someone like a prime Dejagah here for fast breaks

Idk bro Azmoun was a big disappointment last WC. Not saying he wouldn't be useful, he's definitely should have been called up, but not like he was going to be a game changer
