I am convinced that this WC belongs to Argentina. They will beat Spain and win. Nothing to see in the final.

what's really annoying about Lalas is that they typically have him stand next to superstars like Thierry Henry as if he was anywhere close to them talentwise. He was a crappy player at a time when the US team was in its early stages . He was a loudmouth drummer, with long hair and mostly a showman, and was added to the US team because the team had no talent. He is also a racist.

Argentina got FIFA's backing again. Messi was more offside than Shoja in thier first goal, but they didnt even show their VAR image in such an important goal. This should tell you that the VAR only controls what or who is offside or scores goals or not.

I am never going to spend a dollar on FIFA again and quitting their events and I am sure millions feel the same way after this WC. Match fixing at its finest and billions were watching too.

May I ask where you got the photo you posted ??

If you go to the 11:00 min mark on the video below, it shows Messi is onside when they pause the video.

comparing both stills, yours and this one shows every player on the field is in the same position. The only difference is Messi’s position.

on your photo it shows Messi being ahead of the linesman but on the still from YouTube which as it shows on the video was paused as the action happened, shows Messi being a couple of yards behind the linesman

But thanks for taking a photo of the video I posted. In cases like this you have to look at the grass lines. They are perfectly perpendicular to length of the field so are dead straight.

if you look at the distance from the last British defender’s foot and the grass line behind him, it is considerably less than the distance from Messi’s right foot to the same grass line.

So although I hate for Argentina to have won but the goal is considered Onside by all rules.
