Ironically, the revolutionaries seem to forget that for the longest time the general sentiment among Iranian soccer fans was that a big soccer win would cause people to go to the streets to celebrate, which would snowball into riots and revolution attempts.

First of all, why the fuck should I (or you) get a vote? I don't live in Iran? I don't have an Iranian passport. The only historical path to democratization is and has always been economic integration. The JCPOA or a similar agreement is the only path to democracy.
