I get why emotions run high on this. But let’s be honest about what’s actually happening here. A small handful of people voted they want Iran to get embarrassed on the world stage. That’s the minority. The overwhelming majority want to see Iran win every game. So before we torch the whole forum over it, let’s keep that in perspective.

Calling people khaen for how they voted in a poll? I can’t get behind that. Being a patriot isn’t about agreeing with everyone on a football forum. Some people are processing grief in ways that look like anger. You don’t get to hand out traitor certificates because someone’s pain came out differently than yours.

The ban also bothers me. If we believe in something, let’s at least be consistent about it here.

We’re not going to agree on everything, and that’s fine. But this infighting is exactly what those who want to see us fail are hoping for, both inside and outside. Every time we turn on each other, we do their job for them.

Support the team or don’t. But let’s not pretend attacking each other is some kind of principled stand.

As a vatan parast I used to love team melli. So it hurts have this knowledge that this is team mullah. Owned and controlled by the regime. Seeing the IR flag and anthem hurts.

I refuse to be blind like some Iranians just so I can keep enjoying team melli.

So win or lose, I don’t care.

In life there are things that are way more important than a stupid game of football. Things like freedom and being able to live freely and enjoy life and control over your life and future. Now being killed and imprisoned and financially ruined and in a daily struggle has been ongoing for the past 47 years. I am not sure how anyone in their right mind can not acknowledge this and say football and politics are not mixed. For the Islamic regime team this is definitely not true and the ones overseeing this team are the tools of the Islamic regime. So if the team loses they will blame everyone and everything except themselves and even Dadkhan said the other day that these mother fuckers are going there just to get the FIFA money so that they can steal more. So each person needs to take a stance in their own life to see what comes first and what is more valuable to them.
The team winning as where it would be used as a propaganda tool to say look at how we did under sanctions and blah blah blah while stealing more money from Iran and Iranians, or standing on the side of the people and freedom and knowing that's more important. Unfortunately not until Iranians have reached that level of maturity to be able to separate such issues and take a firm stance we will be repeating this cycle under the brutal Islamic regime.

I wish those inside Iran had a say in this poll too to really see where most Iranians stand. This is a soccer forum and almost everyone not living in Iran and under the brutal regime so the results are skewed in that manner imo.

Important to be clear here...hyperbole is not helpful.

                  1. Oracle got banned for repeatedly calling people who wished TM to lose Khaen.

                  2. It is not overwhelming majority. It is 2/3 vs 1/3. On a football forum site dedicated to the success of Iranian soccer...1/3 of fans wanting their national team to lose is major news...this same site any other world Cup and it would have been zero.

                  3. This site a week before WC with Iran in it would have been hopping...hundreds of people visiting. The fact that only 32 people voted tells us that the overwhelming majority have spoken...turned off of Iranian football, this team, IR etc and not checking this site. Only a Small minority really want Iran to succeed. This is important to comprehend because the current supporters of TM will be very disappointed when cries of bisharaf will be directed towards them as well as the players.

                  4. Your point about labeling people is very valid. And the enforcement has not always been two ways but we have to remember, this is the personal site of someone whose love and passion about Iran and Iran's football is far greater than many/most of us. For about 30 years, this site has been maintained through money and more importantly lots of time...whose money and time? People have to be very careful in offering criticism of the webmaster and moderators, who have worked for 3 decades to maintain this forum.

                  5. People are upset that this site or people who advocate TM failure are bringing politics into a sports website. Incredibly naive to expect something different when every facet of Iran and Iranian is dripping with politics.

                    100%

All other world cups the site was popping like crazy. So many posts and debates on every aspect of the game. The mere fact that the Islamic regime has not been able to secure 1 good friendly and still unknown about their whole visa issue speaks volumes. Truly pathetic and sad at the same time.

But I will go to the stadium and if I cant take my beautiful flag, I will have my voice with me.

Besides the many ways one can sneak an actual flag into the stadium, like folding it and putting in a lady's purse or something, how would they stop people from a wearing a T-shirt underneath their main shirt? Which they can later take off in the bathroom and wave around or just wear outright! They've got plenty of those on Amazon.

People gathering outside the stadium won't be as effective as having people inside singing Ey Iran together loudly over the IR anthem. We need the world to witness our unity and hear us. The stadiums will be full of Lion and Sun flags and Fifa can't do shit about it, I'd like to see them attempt to kick out thousands of paying fans for simply wearing a T-shirt or waving a flag. A) It wouldn't be physically feasible B) It would end up in a huge lawsuit.
