How do you want Iran to perform in the WC?

Given all that's been going on with the Islamic regime and Iran, how do you want the IR team to perform? They killed tens of thousands of our people and Iranians are suffering badly. Now any achievement even the slightest would be used by the regime to show as some form of an accomplishment. The team is just a tool if you look at it realistically. Azmoun our top player kicked out and a bunch of thugs running the federation.

Bro. We are all upset with the government. But those who say they want the team to lose soooo badly; I won’t believe TBH 🤣. If so, why they even care to be here. Iranian government should be toppled. We all want that. But the football team who represent Iranian government; should not be supported. True. I wished we could return to those days that we separated the sportsmen and say Dorood bar varzeshkar. Marg bar Jomhouri Eslami. Even though it’s a big ask. But I repeat. I don’t think if the teams wins; anyone will be crying. But if the team loses; I see people blaming IRI and welcome it as well. It’s a crazy situation.

That being said; I have been saying this and repeat it here. It’s almost certain for me that Iran will boycott the World Cup at the last moment. This government is looking for that. As Taj returned to Iran when Canada asked many questions; with US-Iran bitter relations; I am sure they won’t participate. So it doesn’t really matter. If you had added an option. I don’t care - because Iran won’t participate; I would have chosen that 🤣. Thanks anyways. Great poll.

I always root for anything Iranian anywhere in the World.

Every Chinese person helps their friends out in the US. Same for every Indian, Russian, Israeli etc.

I can't disagree with you there. You have a very valid point. We've all normalized the status quo and fell for the regime's propaganda at one point or another even beyond supporting Team Melli. However, It doesn't mean that we have to continue making excuses and justifications and look the other way. The Jan. massacare was the last straw for many people (For me it was Flight 752), things will never be the same again and we will not start to heal until the regime is toppled. I really do believe that day is coming soon and hopefully before 2027 like you said.
