Hajsafi will not start the first match! Unless a real fuck up by Milad or Nemati i don’t see Hajsafi get much min in WC! I hope not!
the D line is miserable! I mean really miserable!
4 years in Charge the coach couldn’t find a single consistent D other than some old expired like Kanani, Shoja, Milad, Ramin and relying to players like Nemati!
i think D core is our biggest weakness!
In past we struggled with one or two of them in some WC(2006 LB, 2014 RB, 2022 LB)
    now it is all 4!
this is our worst back 4 ever in any WC!

We should be able to get past Egypt and New Zealand, though a loss against belgium is probably the realistic outcome.

African football is overrated to me honestly. Morocco’s run last World Cup was a great story but they’re clearly a weaker side now and I think it’ll show this summer.

My optimism about Iran isn’t really about preparation, it’s more about the experience on that roster. I think it’ll help them stay composed especially in games they’re expected to win or get a draw from.

I wouldn't be surprised if they lost all 3 games - If they lose or even tie in the opener against NZ, they might as well start packing to go back to Iran.

            • 1x 13 Ahmed Fatouh
            11 Mostafa Mohamed

            Salah Mohsen
            • 10 Mohamed Salah

9 of these players that played are on their World Cup squad team so I mean , it wasn’t really a 3rd string squad after all ….

the defense that line up in that game all are in the team ….

            Ramy Rabia
            hamdy mohamed
            hany Mohammed
Name our actual starters? Mohamed Hamdy is not even on the WC squad. We (Egypt, as i am also part Uzbek) created plenty while playing a much weakened squad. We played much stronger squads vs Saudi Arabia and Spain. If you want to use our match vs Uzbekistan as a marker, then you will be in for a surprise come June 26th.

The moderators seem very dedicated to protecting Artaxerxes' right to spam and instigate with others. Very unfortunate.

he has been very abusive to a lot of people on here i don't get why he gets a free pass . This is still a football forum of around 20 iranians and 1 korean- and i enjoy hearing the views of others and i wish for peace between people here- turning on random disporas on a football forum does little to help the situation back home

new Zealand will smell blood when they see our team being booed - they know we are in a vulnerable position .

Egypt have a much stronger attack than us - i don't see us defensively being able to withstand Salah and Marmoush who are superior to what we have going forward -

overall im not sure maybe 1 win and 2 loses or 2 draws 1 loss

I can see the Iranian dispora turning on the team or at least certain members of the team

maybe this will spook the players out and cause lapses in concentration or maybe it will have no effect who knows

NZ is a bigger task then most people make it out to be

they still have decent players and more in Europe than we do I don’t see why people think we will walk through them

Egypt are also superior to us on paper and are in good form- we need them to have a bad day like Morocco did v us

I feel like they are going to the game to boo the anthem and the players- since masih alinejad planted it in their brains 3.5 years ago that TM is the ayatollahs team, not the peoples. Boo the anthem all you want but please leave our boys alone. I feel so bad for them.

chris wood is New Zealand’s talisman

hes a big fellow and we need a strong CB to mark him and strong midfield to hault their attack

gholi’s technique will be missed in this match

but we can still beat New Zealand on a bad day

as Belgium will be at least 3-0’win for them

Egypt game is wide open for either side but I’d give the advantage to Egypt, narrowly
Chris wood has gotten better with age I’m sure he’s looking at that back line thinking he’s in heaven
