I don’t know , I watched the last 20 minutes and thought he showed a good account of himself.
battling with defenders, few nice flicks ons with his head. Holding the ball up and finding a player in space. Tracking back and helping his defence. Made some nice runs into the box, one he nearly got on the end of but great keeping with Raya to run out and catch the ball. There was one instance when there was a lovely ball played to him but it took a flick off an Arsenal player on the way to him which slightly put him off so he miscontrolled the ball. I thought he looked fitter than he did last year at Inter.
Mehdi is so slow nowadays, its like he has ship anchors tied to his feet. Every time he gets the ball he doesn't have the speed to bring it forward unless he's already in the box
he sure as shit is no Impact Sub, is he ..!!?
but seriously he needs to start and allowed to grow into the game and slowly build his confidence ...this team has too many scrubs for him not to be in the starting 11 somewhere such games..!!
The chance he had where the ball was crossed beautifully to him as he was unmarked and he completely missed the ball was too big of a chance to waste. That could’ve tied the game.
To be honest, he looked like a second tier striker this game. Much worse than I think 2 years ago where he was top 5 in the UCL group stages for goal contributions.
El Kaabi looked much better than him in the last 30mins that I watched. It could be that Mehdi still has not had time to gel with the team and needs to build up match fitness and chemistry. But El Kaabi was levels above him and is the same age as him.

Hes good just so slow and heavy since his last season at Porto. El Kaabi in contrast was so athletic its jarring seeing him next to a striker like that . Maybe Mehdi should play DM his last few seasons?
He is done!
People expecting same kind of performance from him as he is 28/29!
he is 34 and he is not Ronaldo or Messi or any top striker in the world!
so it is what it is, we suck big big time!
this TM is worst than pre CQ!

I wouldn’t be surprised if the groin injury has slowed him down.

i suspect same ..!
aging is obviously also a facor too ..!
But he clearly seems hesitant to make any dashing/explosive runs or even mix it in physically in games since the onset of his groin injury ..!
i think he largely recovers from it but obviously he is fearful of reaggrivating it too evident from his general playing demeanor..!
On the bench again!
can’t even start in crappy greek league! Even hajsafi at 33/34 was starting for another big club there and won league title there! And some people claims he had offer from Lyon and EPL but decided to warm the bench in greece because Kaabi will leave in January for a month to play in CAN and he may have a chance to start lol
Taremi is already retired so let's not be asking too much from him. A coach will only play players who show motivation and energy in trainings not a person who has none of that, hence he is on the bench.

Holy shit,
He got sucked on minutes 76 and in span of 5 to 6 minutes he’s had some three or four touches on the ball and he has fucked every one of them
To Weak assgiveaways that Led to counters the second of each they got scored on , under review by var
& Two touches to by lines While under no fucking pressure..!
in all honesty , coach would be justified to bench his ass right back up..!
He’s been nothing but a huge liability since Brought off the bench
