I know this may be a disappointing transfer, but let's enjoy Mehdi's last CL matches.

It could be a decade (or more) until we see an Iranian in CL again.

haale maaro beham zad deerooz baa een transfer tokhmy .... !!:/ wasted the whole summer/pre-season training too, just come through with such a tokhmy underwhelming transfer..!!
i suspect his hernia injury is still a lingering issue ..? otherwise made lil sense to take such a steep paycut and demotion in club status..??
but your right at least under the new UCL format we have some dozen ? juicy games to look forward to..!

the greek league is a joke.... if he doesnt score mid double digit goals in league we would have to assume that he is either permanently gimped or largely played out and slowly shouldnt count on him as a regular 90min starter in TM as well..!

at least its a beautiful and affordable country ... i have a feeling he will stay in the league past his 2year stint... especially if he enjoys a somewhat successful spell at Kos..!!

                ps
iranian announcers and football media personalities are probably already sweating out, trying to figure out best way to maastmaal over his team's name..!

At least we get to see him play a minimum of 8 more CL matches and possibly add a few more goals. It's a shame he only moved to europe at 27, similar to Karimi and Daei who could also have become world class players had they moved atleast 3 to 4 years earlier.

But hey, for a few years Taremi brought us immsense joy, played for one of Portugal's biggest teams, was a standout player there, won trophies, the golden boot, ... Not bad for a player who was playing in Azadegan League until the age of 22.

And on a personal level, he got to live in 3 of europes most beautiful countries. Let's hope he scores a lot of goals for Olympiakos, no doubt he will still be our most important player for the WC.

Comment from an Olympiakos fan on Reddit.

A bizarre transfer to be honest: El Kaabi will always be the starter, so either we will start using a system with 2 CFs sometimes, or he is happy to fight it out with Yaremchuk for the substitute CF position.
Yikes! They paid 2.5M for him so they obviously will use him but this is worrisome.

His main rivals are El Kaabi first then Yaremchuk( used to play with Milad in Gent). kaabi is their first choice it seems

This transfer symbolizes he’s basically taking a step back. Even joining the dutch league would’ve been better. But the champions league games are something to look forward.

And who knows? Maybe if he starts racking in goals, he’ll get concrete offers from better clubs in the future.

Olympiacos are a much better Team than many may think. Of course the Greek League is nowhere near the likes of Serie A Bundesliga EPL or LaLiga or even Dutch League but they are playing Champions League and Europe League on a regular and even won the Conference League 2 years ago.
Really looking forward to the Champions League matches

"After the first matchday when they thought they had suddenly become PSG, the five-time scudetto winners lose at home
now everyone to the TV! #InterUdinese"

Inter lose 2-1 @ home, Lauti and Pio their over hyped joojeh new striker also shoulda been both sent off..!
winner conceded from a run n shot at top center of their box..!!
Now rewind and watch how many time Taremi has pulled all the way back defensively covering that zone and cleverly pressing the opponents instead into Defensive Traps by the corner flags!!?but... but.. he is shit.... he only scored 1 goal... get him out .. blah blah blah
no one more deserving of a big beeelaakh today than those wanker Inter fans..!!
