Eckert arguably achieved more in his career than Gucci did - scored in the Europa league

I think with three games against physical sides we really need someone like him with physicality

Eckert will probably be looking at that New Zealand and Egyptian back line thinking he’s going to get a good chance to get a goal at the World Cup if he does play

he’s miles better than moghoalu and alipour anyhow. I hope the federation just take action and use their brain. Our current forward line doesn’t have the fitness level to last three games they need reinforcements . I doubt Azmoun will be fully fit for all three games and Taremi has had fitness issues for a while now

Outside of a few words (and some bad words included ) he doesnt speak any Persian at all. I introduced him here on PFDC back in 2017, when he played his first minutes for Celta in La Liga. He is almost 29 now and we clearly slept on him because in my opionion, he should have been part of TM since atleast 4, 5 years ago.

He obviosuly was and never will be an option for Germany or Spain but he definitely is good and also experienced enough to be part of our 26 man squad. I can confirm that he received a phone call from a high ranking IR official earlier this year. I doubt he will ever play for TM though (atleast under GN).
indonesia fielded a 11 nearly full of 1/4 Indonesians? So why can't we play the 1/4 game ?

if he is not going to play then why is his dad sending dna tests at least theres some action being taking

i agree no progress unless his dad goes to iran to take the test- if he does then surely there is some room for optimism?

but yeah i think overall the time to integrate him in was during his time at celta- he was contacted by iranian agents during that time he said in his gol bezan interview but he ignored them i guess he still had hopes for germany or spain back then.

i say not speaking iranian doesnt matter much upfront - if he was defender i think it would be more problematic

funny thing is at 28 he would be one of the youngest in the team

of all the supposed du-raggehez footballers who've been mentioned as TM hopefuls, this guy is the only one imo worth the hassle of naturalization ..!
he scored against Entracht Frankfurt in the europa league

so he's already surpased Mogahlu , Sayyadmanesh and Alipour in terms of Career achievements

so anyone saying he isn't worth a call up what exactly have our other forward players achieved?

I'd rather have someone top sorcerer of serie C who we build on and a europa league german striker who knows what its like to be a professional player instead of our current crop taking selfies in the UAE leagues

until we get a serious foreign coach i doubt it happens though i just dont know what ghalenoi does or what tactics he has - gotta be the worst coach in iran's history

Some of them start for German and Swedish U23 national teams...compared to our homegrowns losing to India. The whole mindset is different

and yeah i get a bit jealous when i see South Korea have a German bundasliga talent for free

now Bangladesh have more talents in the English leagues than us

Indonesia of course have an italian goalkeeper and a team full of erdvise talents that will most likely be a major threat in the future - heck they called up the goalkeepr of the worst mls side and he won them a point v saudi arabia

all while we seem to be sitting around relying on the same over paid ipl players to try and score a goal v 10 man uzbekistan and cape verde. We are literally the most boring team in Asia. You'd honestly have more thrill watching bangladesh than us right now.

The funny thing is in terms of diaspora players, its never been this good for us in a LONG TIME.

Nahany - signed Feyenoord senior contract and got called up to Netherlands U19 national team.
Stuckler - Highest goalscoring youth in all of Italy for like 3 seasons in a row.
Vali Fard - Plays for German U21 as their starting CB.
Bishesari - Plays for Sweden U23 as their starting goalkeeper.
Motaraghebjafarpour - Starting RB for Kalmar FF (doing incredibly well and helped bring them up to Sweden first tier)
Zahiroleslam - Scoring a good amount of goals in Poland

i feel it wouldve been better to field those players and lose to india than it would have been just scraping by and keeping our coefficent up

at least it wouldve rocked the old guard who've gotten too comfortable with no competition

team melli is also really cliquey now - i think having foreign players with no political involvement and just focus on the football/professionalism would be really beneficial to the team and also break down the ego of the cliques involved who think they undroppable
