Taremi never played div 2 in Qatar (he did in Iran).

Daei was the only player who transferred from Qatar to Europe, and I think that was some sort of trick by Abedini (Persepolis CEO) to get a bigger cut.

Another reason why Russian clubs are just scammers and money launderers ^ might as well stay in Iran if you get offered a deal by a Russian club.

Reyvandi -> loaned to middle of nowhere 2 years in a row
Taheri -> benched for 2 years then sent back to pgpl
Hosseinejad -> benched 90% of the season
Saharkhizan -> benched half the season and held hostage by a relegated club who is refusing to let him go for some reason
Ghorbani -> 1 year in Russia then sent off to UAE
Mohebi -> Club kept him benched for half a season because of transfer talks to punish him for not being committed

Iranian agents and their contacts in low tier Russian and UAE/Qatar clubs are destroying our football.
Our kids need to be aiming to go Turkey instead even if it is another scammy league (at least still in UEFA). The only youth transfer worth a damn in the last 5 years was Allahyar to Fenerbahce then Hull City

Iranian football is in a strange place where the top teams in SS and PP seemingly have money to burn but waste it on salaries for overpriced Iranian talents or seek to bring in African, French players past their prime and throw money at them and our league is being used now for Uzbeks to make the big money as they’re some of the few nationalities that will want to live in Iran

And our players do have European offers it’s just no mid table Portuguese , Belgian team is ever gonna match the wages that SS and PP offer so there’s no incentive for our players to go and challenge themselves and take the step up. We are basically a similar more budget version of the UAE and Qatar star leagues only with smaller budgets

now our young talents are going to UAE and Qatar - higher wages and no tax compared to Europe is a cocktail that’s hard for our players to refuse - they would earn most likely 1/4 or 1/5 in Europe there’s just no incentive for them to go and none of them seemingly have much desire to do so

Unfortunately we won’t see any Iranian in even some second rated euro league anytime soon!
the main reason is simple: Money!
1)kids getting 4-5 times more than what they will get in leagues like Greece, Belgium, Portugal, Holland, etc
2) Local TM coach put emphasis in local players and there is almost zero motivation to join europe
3) Our overall legionnaires situation in last 4-5 years has been terrible! Too many failed the expectations, too many Gooshad players at all levels and too many wasted opportunities!
Other than Taremi the rest more or less failed to make any impact in regular base o ya dar jaa zadan big time or they were regular injury prone!!
Pretty disappointing!
