I think that's that problem, you see Cheshmi run all the way into the other third exactly like he did in Syria. Then they left a blanket hole through the middle and conceded. It's just so funny to me that this is not being corrected in training by any of the staff. Off the top of my head the defending resembles the exact kind of chaotic last ditch defending we do on the pitch

Honestly it depends on what Qatars coach does. If he is smart and long balls against our slow defense he will have chances.
For the FIFA folks, from Fifa 15-20 a lot of the games you could do long through balls and your striker could just outrun the defender.
Qatars team selected by Lopetegui is kind of old compared to their usual.
If Qatar decides to play expansive it wont work with some of their older players in defense like Boualem Khouki, Pedro Miguel or midfielders like Abdelaziz Hatem or Karim Boudiaf. Our attackers will score in 1v1s.
If they keep cycling through to
Sideshow Al- Bob and Almoez Ali they will make stuff happen. Their backup forwards like Mohammad Muntari will cause a lot of issues with their height too.

I'm Noorafkan's biggest hater but honestly Oracle jan is right, he's in better LB form these days. Milad pisses me off to no end with his ball watching and positioning. He's so useless in defense. Hell bring back Haj Safi because even if he was slow at least he defended passionately.Originally posted by perspolis#1 View Post
I'm willing to pay GN kabob bill from now until WC 2026 to make sure Noorafkan never plays LB again
