Iran - Paraguay 3:1 after two thirds, first third 2-0 and 1-1 second third. Hope they do not make it as intense as against Mauritania.
Regarding the Senegal-Spain game:
Said it before, Spain did not perform too well and also Senegal is very strong.
Mauritania actually has beaten both Spain and Senegal recently, I could even see them win against Paraguay.
Oman lost, but did a decent job against Italy.

6min to ago, still 3-1 for us.
Very physical game, Paraguay overdoing it imo, every encounter they just fall down. Lots of yellow cards (4 for us, 2 for Paraguay), Mirshekari (2nd yellow) will not be in the last game against Portugal, big loss.
Group A winner will for sure be Belarus, could be our next opponent then (if we lose against Portugal).

Won 5-1, could have easily been 2 goals more, had some open box chances, but we played it very tactically today. Short reminder that Paraguay won 2 times against Brazil this year already.
Anyway, the last game will be decisive, no such thing as ties exist, goal difference does not matter (given that Portugal wins against Mauritania), only points.

Excellent second match. Iran kept the gas on the whole time. Paraguay were outmatched. Our players were very physically imposing and won nearly every 1v1 duel. Our keepers were also very imposing and confident. Obviously our physical strength led to more fouls and unfortunately Mirshekari will miss the Portugal match.

Portugal - Mauritania 8-4
Portugal as expected won, but they also conceded 13 goals in 2 games, while scoring 19 (most of them free kicks against Paraguay).
We scored 10 & conceded 5. In the last WC we conceded 17 goals (scored 27), but in 6 games
No yellow cards for Portugal in this game, 3 in the first game, so Portugal can use their full team.
We had 2 yellows in the first game (Mirshekari, Mokhtari), 4 in the second game (Mirshekari, Nazarzadeh, Mohammadpour, Masoumi). Mirshekari will unfortunately miss in the last game.
I still believe that a win against Portugal is within reach, but will actually put us in the bracket with Japan in the Quarters but Brazil in the semis.
If we finish 2nd, we have to go for Belarus first and then maybe Senegal or Italy. On the top level, games are pretty close, anything can happen. I think both brackets are fine. Brazil did only win 3-1 against El Salvador but can be due to fatigue management. Still, the gap is not as big anymore, they did not win recently by crazy margins like some years ago.

Mohammadpour: Mirjalili is the world’s best goalkeeper
Goalkeeper Seyed Mirjalili discusses his goalscoring ability, while Movahed Mohammadpour insists Iran’s only target is to win this FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.
Leandro Casapieri walked on to the stage at the Museum of the Future in Dubai, a proud smile emblazoned across his face, and collected the Best Men’s Goalkeeper award in 2024. Bobo, Pedro or Eliott Mounoud will succeed him at the Teatro Pedro Munoz Seca in Cadiz on 22 May. Movahed Mohammadpour has been left exasperated and awestruck by all four. He regards them all as “amazing”. Just not amazing enough to outrank his team-mate as the best on the planet in the position.
Seyed Mirjalili was one of the stars of the last FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, and he’s already sizzling in the Seychelles. After helping Iran edge Mauritania in their curtain-raiser, he was magnificent in a 5-1 reverse of Paraguay. His performance inside The Paradise Arena included two stunning saves and a trademark wonder goal. “He’s the best goalkeeper in the world,” Mohammadpour told FIFA. “He’s outstanding. We also have a very strong defence, we don’t allow opponents many chances, but when he do he always comes up with big saves. “Then he’s the best with his feet. He’s really good and setting up plays and scoring goals. We have power plays when he’s on the pitch. He has a great understanding with the rest of the players. We link up really well. He’s a huge asset for Iran.”
“I thank Movahed for saying that,” said Mirjalili. “It’s not for me to say if I’m the best. I train really hard. I do three sessions per day. I’m always trying to improve. “I have to thank my team-mates for being able to score goals. They have confidence in me, and that enables me to try things, to attempt passes, to go for goal. Their movement is good, they get in good positions for me, free up space for me.”
Iran will undertake their biggest test of Seychelles 2025 on Monday when they play Portugal. The two-time champions scored 19 goals in their opening two wins, but that doesn’t faze Mohammadpour. “We don’t care who is standing in front of us: we will go toe to toe with anyone,” said the 30-year-old who finished as the top assister at the last global finals. “We will go all out to beat Portugal and finish top of the group. I think we will beat Portugal. “We have one target at this tournament: to become champions. Nothing else. That’s our only target.” Mirjalili added: “The Iranian people have their fingers crossed for us. We will fight for our country, for our flag, for our people.”
