Ghoddos is 100% waiting for a big offer from middle east. Never liked him. He always came across as someone who was more interested in what TM could do for him($$) rather than what he could do for TM. Remember his silent tantrums when Skocic pulled him out or benched him? Where was that energy with Brentford when he was rotting on bench in months before up to WC? He just wanted his WC and his $$.

Well our football is definitely progressing after CQ… Only ones left in Europe are Taremi and couple playing for Russian clubs that Azmoun’s fat ass was scoring hat tricks against. Absolutely pathetic. One of you who was talking about pishraft, attacking football, General, ks, come here with your tail in hand and give us some answers! TM shode Team Emirates.

I don't remember the tantrums, but he may be a product of his environment. Remember his first agents were Malmo neihgborhood homies who wear adidas joggers and slippers to meetings.Originally posted by mehdi13 View Post

To them living goshad on a large pile of money in Dubai is the dream.
As it happens often, the more talented you are, the more goshad you also end up.

Azmoun had no more than a handful of good games/goals against strong opponent in CL. A couple in 2016 group stage and 2022 vs Chelsea home.Originally posted by Babak agha View Post

This only applies to Iranians and Brazilians apparently lol. Saman can do as he wishes, but as a fan, semi-retired in uae or qatar isn’t what I want to see in my national team. Would rather fail with kids who aren’t good enough than with experienced players who don’t give a f***.Originally posted by Nokhodi View Post

He was excellent in pretty much every CL game he played. That's what so depressing about him.
His level is high. He's just incredibly goshad.

I don’t believe this at all. To make him out to be like Adriano or something, a world class talent held back only by injury, goshadi, whatever. This isn’t true. Even in his 2016-17 season his Russian league performance were very underwhelming compared to CL/EL, would go weeks without scoring in league. And he was never big scorer, like 15+, before Zenit. A lot of people talk about Taremi’s sootis but Azmoun had an impressive collection of his own. His actual level was never high, but he had a very high potential. Looked better than all of the young Ajax or PSV players in 2016. He killed all of his momentum with the move to Rubin. Berdyev made him greedy. As if Lazio was only paying minimum wage. I mean he says with his own mouth he refused Liverpool because he didn’t want to sit on bench. He ended up a benchwarmer at 27 instead. Really sad story. He needed honest agents, advisors, psychologists around him.Originally posted by Nokhodi View Post

Saman Ghoddos did something that forever proved his incredible loyalty to his ancestral land and people.
He was invited to the Swedish NT and turned them down since he had given his word to Iran.
Had he broken his word, his life might have taken a while different turn and likely he'd be well employed in Europe as a former Swedish NT player. The fact that he is without a team is, in a small part, due to his decision.
You all know that.
It is very typical and true to form for the ugly Iranian character to show itself here and disparage people who have made sacrifices.

lol c'mon dude let's not act like Swedish NT is a top 10 team or something. That team lost to Azerbaijan 3-0 a few months ago.Originally posted by koorosh View PostSaman Ghoddos did something that forever proved his incredible loyalty to his ancestral land and people.

Ghoddos didn't make any sacrifices, Iran was simply the better place to be at. He got to go to 2 world cups, and 2 Asian Cups. He wouldn't be able to say that if he had stayed in Sweden.
His career trajectory ended like this because he got injured in France and Brentford benched him for 3 years. Hence no one wants him because now he's old and past his prime with a high salary.
You talking like we are a bunch of bums and should be grateful he chose us...the only injustice he faced so far was being benched by Skocic and CQ for 3 years. Rightly so because dude has been playing football part time since he was 26.

Are you sure that he turned Down the swedish national team? I know that he Got some matches for their B team. It was Sweden side with only domestic players. But did he ever get called up to their main squad? If I remember correctly, he wasnt denying playing for Sweden, he just never Got called up.
Well, I like him and in happy he played for Iran. But I just Think its a shame, that he never really played fixed football
