No. Inter mostly doesn’t look at just those stats. For example the fans really wanted Arnautovic out last season but they kept him because he’s cheap and well liked on the bench.

With Thuram out of Sundays league match and a doubt for Wednesday’s coppa italia match against Milan, Taremi will start one of these matches guaranteed. Im hoping for a 30 minute cameo on Sunday followed by a start on Wednesday. I don’t want him to get reinjured prior to the CL matches.

The new owners are pretty clear that they want to rejuvenated the squad (they don't want to end up like Perspolis). Everything in the Italian football media suggests they are going to get rid of him.

If they keep Mehdi, which I don't think they will, it will be for a squad role. He'll occasionally make it to the bench and get a 15 minutes or so here and there in early stage cup mathes if inter are winning the match and needs to draw out the clock. Doubt he will get more 300 minutes across all competitions.

It's best for both parties to part away at the end of the season. With world cup coming up, we can't afford to have one of our starting dinosaurs be out of form because of lack of playing time.
