not watching the game but looks like from what you guys are saying, I can conclude that Inter was a tooo big of a team for him to move to. He will be benched and sold or loaned at the end of the season.

I don't think its too big a move for him, he's got some mental thing going on where his first instinct when he gets a pass is to pass the ball to someone else instead of shooting it. I don't know if its anxiety or tarof or whatever, but he could have had 3-4 more goals this season so far if he just shot the ball in the box instead of looking to immediately pass it.Originally posted by persian-eagle-13 View Postnot watching the game but looks like from what you guys are saying, I can conclude that Inter was a tooo big of a team for him to move to. I personally think he needs to go to a more mid table team where can start most games to have more constant contributions. He's just not a clutch player that can come in at minute 85 and change the trajectory of the game. Even if being rotated like this gives him more longevity.

Wow it was frustrating seeing him come on and GOOZ two GREAT chances away.
The second one was a gift and he completely missed the ball.
It's getting to a point where I'm thinking he might just be past his prime.
He's had more than enough excellent opportunities to score and win matches for Inter and he's simply been poor.
I'd be surprised if he's at Inter next season. Hopefully by some miracle he wakes up but my hopes are diminishing for such an outcome. Very sad.

On second thought (replying to myself lol), maybe Inter is too much for him, he seems anxious when he gets subbed on at minute 80. I don't think fundamentally he's a clutch player like that, all his good games is when he starts and plays full 90 so he has enough time to get a moment or two of brillianceOriginally posted by Pluto2000 View Post

Agreed. I made a post about how soft and weak he is mentally a few days back. His body language has self doubt written all over it. Sardar with all his horsin' around (pun intended!) and f**king off has never had that problem, hence how he's always been clutch for TMOriginally posted by Pluto2000 View Post

Good point. I'd say the closest player we had at this level / possibly the only exception to your statement would be Mahdavikia. Although his team was mostly not a top team in Bundesliga, except for the first few seasons he was there.Originally posted by TM4LIFE View PostProbably an overreaction from me but our football in 40+ years has yet to produce a multi-season elite level footballer. I’m talking, someone who consistently plays for top level team for more than just one season before getting shipped out
Still the only player we've had, along with Nekounam and Hashemian, who lasted several seasons in a top four league.

Yep and that's another side of it...I didn't watch the whole game but subbing Taremi for Martinez in a game that Martinez had scored in already seems questionable, and it doesn't help Mehdi's case and his general anxiety and uneasiness, those are big shoes to fillOriginally posted by Farhad21 View PostIt’s all coaches fault he makes too many subs that doesn’t make any sense, it’s better to just give him easy league games first to play 90, rather than 10 minutes versus top teams

Yes Azmoun is like that but he was far from being confident when he entered the field in bayer and Roma. Same story for beiro at Antwerp by the wayOriginally posted by FeLFeL View Post

I don't think anyone called him THE best. But yes, still ONE of the best purely due to his time at Porto. And he gets added points for even making it to Inter and its rotation. It's a short list. Maybe you're confusing Iran with Brazil...Originally posted by mehdi13 View Post
