2) Wait for an injury with Thuram/Martinez to get a starting role in Seria A and be more selfish with his touches.

Agreed, his shooting statistics must be abysmal but I don’t know how much of that is Inzaghi’s game-plan driven!? Knowing a little about football, I’m more convinced that in Champions League games, Inzaghi wants Taremi to play a more behind the main striker role, almost a defensive midfielder with authority to roam forward on the odd occasion. It will only take option 2 when Taremi will have the opportunity to start and he would then know that all eyes are on him to score. While Martinez & Thuram are fit and scoring, the expectations from the 3 other strikers are “Zero-to-Hero!

im sure SC will snatch Mehdi if Inter are dumb enough to not appreciate his net positive effect & release him prematurely on the cheap or free..! But that’s highly doubtful, ..! Inzaghi seems too thoughtful & calculated tactician tor that & defo not so while they keep winning ..!
