He's getting minutes because he's fit and has good stamina, can defend well and pass. The finishing will come soon. At this rate, he is satisfying the coach but really needs to start scoring if he wants to stay on the team. Slightly above average won't cut it

Tbh he has been fortunate inter has been winning most of the cl games by narrow margin 1-0. If they had more result like 0-1 leverksuen result coach and fans would be more impatient with his lack of goals. In that situation who else do you count on for goals other striker playing 80+ minutes? Its not defenders job to score… even thuram had to come in swiss game to score and save his team after taremi ‘great performance’.

So what? I'm a die hard Inter fan, been that since 1989 and I dont care as long as my team win. Players can ben hated, critisized by us fans but as long as he does what the head coach wants, the who cares what you and me think. Obviously the coach believes in him and he gets enough minutes, in a Top European team playing in the highest level of football in Europe, in a team with bunch of top players. He was critisized in Porto as well but SC ignored because of one singel reason. he did what the COACH wanted. Of course me as fan and particulary Iranian fan would love to see him socre lot of goals but that doesnt mean anything as long as he gets his minutes. The guy is 32 yeras old, he's Asian/Iranian yet the team like him, coach trusts him and he has said it several times in different interviews. Tarof daran ba kesi? This is Inter. If you dont deliver, if the coach dont want you, you will sitt on the bench and finally have to leave.

Yep... he has 5 G/A (1 goal 4 assists) in 8 games of time played. It's not ideal, but it's far from the doom scenario that a few people keep painting. I still have my original expectation of 10 G/A across all competitions by end of season + club world cup.

I also don't know where all these Inter fans who are talking badly about him are, their subreddit is full of praise for Taremi and everyone is giving him support saying he's working hard and hungry lol

Dear Mr. mehdi13, Holy Shiite! How come you are so negative towards MT Sunni?? For someone carrying the same name, that is even more ironic. It's almost like the conservative gay haters who end up being closet homos themselves (not that there is anything wrong with that)! None of us are walking around sucking on MT's shangool, but we do appreciate the fact that we have an Iranian on one of the top clubs in the world! And a club that realistically has a shot at winning the league and CL as well! When is the last time an Iranian won the Serie A? I can't remember. Maybe someone can help me out. Oh wait, I think its NEVER! And yes, I'm realistic about his age and abilities, but can't we just enjoy this season? Tbh, as I have always maintained , His finishing been only a touch above avg throughout his EU career , even in his Porto heydays when he was the focal point of attack in an Always HighPress n All Out Attacking SC tactics ..! He simply was fed with good service way way more frequently hence the impressive productions there ..!
He just doesn’t get even a fraction of quality service in and around the opponent's box like he used to…! Especially so in UCL where Inzaghi seem to adapt a far more cautious approach to their games ..!
Nonetheless he is still a very versatile, wholesome & generally speaking an overall effective attacker/player for Inter and his presence on pitch and immense work on the intangibles, clever pressing from top , closing opponents dangerous passing lanes and thus forcing them/ pigeon holing them into Inter's defensive traps is perhaps some of his biggest contributions that goes unnoticed by most avg fans who only count goals ..!!
there is a reason they have only conceded 1 goal so far in UCL (their overly cautious approach and the important role he plays in it) and that one goal was scored on them only minutes after his sub out of the game..!!

regardless He still needs to improve his game on couple of glaring fronts in order to extend his stay at inter beyond the 1-2 seasons...!!
1. When Inter are in Possession he's Gotta show/position himself Bit Better for the ball ..!! these last two games especially he is only half-ass making himself open for passes/combo plays but Not quiet well or just doesnt move into open space Quick enough in order to make himself a more obvious pass target..!! he is damn good at quickly flicking it forward to teammates on a fast break .... just needs more touches on the ball thus opportunity to do so..!
2. Gotta, Gotta get more greedy and shot happy in and around the box .... more confident attacking intent and physical prowess is Needed to force through last defenders/obstacles to a shot on goal..! you dont have to always look to dish the ball off to someone else for an attempt..!!
