Web, for what you say to be true, you would have to be insinuating that Qatar somehow was manipulating the VAR directly, which implies the rendering they showed that clearly indicated Ramin keeping him onsides was created within minutes.Originally posted by webmaster View Post
ha ha ha.. so your line is in parallel with the line of the 18 ghadam line??? come on. I know you want to blame players for their play but you can't be blind or can you?
And even if that were true, we still should have ruined Qatar even with the two deflection goals conceded. Why? Because if the contest were determined by how many times one could hit a crossbar or sidebar, we would have won, easily. And if it were determined by how many times we could launch a ball straight at a keeper or defender, from point-blank range, we would have won 100-2.

Yes they did.. much later in the game (for some odd reason)Originally posted by OFFSIDE_1 View PostWhat is a mystery to me is that they never showed the replay of the Taremi fall or takedown
It was a clean tackle. He DID get the ball first, and then there was contact with Taremi's leg, after which he sorta flopped.
Taremi's performance reaaaallly pissed me off this game. On that particular play, Taremi could have, at least, toe-poked it into goal. I don't know wth he was thinking. Maybe he was literally trying to dribble it into the goal.
In the second half, he gained control of the ball on a counter and instead of passing it to whomever we had on the right at that moment (in the box), he decided to f-ing take on two Qatari defenders, and subsequently lost the opportunity by getting stripped of the ball.
Horrible game by Taremi. He was, IMO, easily our worst player, and it's GNs fault for not subbing Taremi off, and putting on someone like Gholi or Ghayedi. I am confident that either would have scored if subbed in with around 25 minutes in the match.

He tried to split 2 GHOOL Qatari defenders. You’re absolutely right he was our worst player on the field against Qatar.Originally posted by Scooter View Post

Fuck Qatar. A country with no football culture, who brings in players from South America and Africa, spends billions and can only achieve some success in Asian Cup. 9 times out of 10, we beat their asses. Let them have this win, they will never be as naturally talented as our TM.Originally posted by mani4000uk View PostIMG-20240208-WA0004.jpgnot sure this is rage bait or it is genuine but this has been circulating around WhatsApp groups today, from a published Sport newspaper in Qatar with a title something along the line of " we contained Iranians because they were too hungry to run" hope some members in Qatar can verify this, if true this is just a new low and calling it scummy would be understated. I sincerely hope it is not true.

Yeah. Too emotional to play under such hostile environment. It was like he was angry!!! If he was himself this game; we would’ve won. I didn’t know this Taremi!!! What he was trying to prove??? That he is the best dribbler?!!! Childish actions. I also think; even though GN had all the rights to start him; however after first half he should’ve subbed him. He was nervous and already missed an empty net on spectacular JB cross and the dribble you just talked about. Then we didn’t need to now discuss the known facts of corruption which I don’t need to elaborate.Originally posted by AmirSalar View Post

On paper we had enough then and there to beat this Qatar team. We have two strikers playing for top European clubs and a host of experience that was more than enough to see out this game. But we didn’t because we were emotional arrogant train wrecks especially when we went ahead. That’s all. Similar attitude problems were on display against syria and Hong Kong . This game was lost psychologically not because of the referring .Originally posted by webmaster View Post
Yes you could guess, but the truth is we have no idea because Azmoun was brought down but without the VAR remember??? they are controlling the game as they show you what they want. And of course being Iranian, we are mostly apologetic for everyone else. Please watch and Subscribe:

I said it many times that AFC Cup are fixed. I guess Host + AFC + Sponsors decide who they would like to see in the final. Then referees + assistant referees + match fixing syndicates will aid to ensure that is achieved.
2004 China as host made it to the final.
2015 Australia as host made it to the final and won, and South Korea somehow made it to the final, perhaps helped by Australian based sponsors as well as East Asian sponsors.
2023 Qatar as host has made it to the final, many fans of teams who lost to them complained of referees helping them to win and progress further. When there are so many complaints by many fans from various nationalities, it seems true. Most sponsors are Arab companies from Qatar, Saudi Arabia or elsewhere.
In World Cup host nation receives help to win matches or even progress to later stages. Korea as host in 2002 ended up as 4th place. Russia as host in 2018 surprisingly made it to Quarter Finals.
Anyways, as long as IRI exists, Iran will never have the opportunity to host any AFC Asian Cup or World Cup, so will never be a host to enjoy host privileges and having referees, AFC or FIFA on their side ensuring they win matches and progress further.
This time the final being on February 11 which coincides with 22 Bahman (Islamic Revolution) means that actually IRI would have benefited if Team Melli reached the final and won. Maybe Iraqi Baathists, Jordanians, Saudis, Emiratis, Qataris, Kuwaitis all united to ensure Team Melli does not reach the final or win.

and IRI keeps making them even more Poroo, calling them brother nation, etc. Also FFIRI begging them for training pitch or other help. Several years ago Qatar promised to help with friendly matches, they did not help with finding/negotiating with potential opponents. In 2022, when FFIRI had arranged with Algeria friendly match, were given crappy pitch by the Qataris.Originally posted by Kiarash View Post

Luckily this AFC Asian Cup, other countries such as Tajikistan, Uzbekistan have seen Qatar's true face and now accept when Iranians and some others refer to AFC as Arab Football Confederation.

Honestly I think the 3D render technology is quite dodgy and somewhat ridiculous. I believe only where the positioning of the feet should be the factor not the body parts. Imagine someone with a big Penis who suddenly gets an erection in the game 😄😄 and 3D render technology catches his penis in offside position. Or as Firooz Karimi once made a joke about Enayati's big nose (before his nose job) being in offside position lol.
Of course my above comment about penis was purely out of sarcasm and humor.

The moment the ball is hit the offside/onside position of the ball recipient is countedOriginally posted by KasraKhan View Post
This. Offside is measured when the pass is played by the teammate, not necessarily when it's received by Almoez Ali

Great, now that you have narrowed it down to one call, think of it this way...it is much more likely that one call goes bad by chance rather than a pattern of behavior. And once you accept that, then you know that this chance occurrence happens in every game, almost...to bigger teams at bigger stakes. It's just a part of the game. The pain goes away and we move on.Originally posted by Keano View PostNonetheless this single call to me from any angle I watch it terribly looks offside. Even during the live stream, once Moez scored I was like oh phewwwww it's pure offside and the red will overrule the goal, but to my shocker it was accepted

I can’t agree more. Well said. We sit hours and hours here and discuss while the outcome is predetermined. The key is to get the hosting of these competitions. Other than that; looking at the big 5 of Asia, Korea was the best of the 5 beating Australia and Saudis. Iran was second beating Japan. And Saudis and Japan were awfully weak coming into competition so strong. I also have to add one issue to your points. AFC Asian cup integrity and quality have been challenged by the increased number of teams. FIFA and AFC are more after 💰💰💰 than the sport itself. Honestly VAR is actually now a better device for them to have an excuse for tournament engineering. World Cup is also going towards the same destiny specially in terms of quality with 48 teams!!! Just ridiculous. But world cup won’t be as corrupt as the world will be watching. In conclusion. AFC Asian cup is losing its popularity. Korean and Japanese prefer to focus on the World Cup and international success than the Persian Gulf Cup.Originally posted by Rooyintan View PostI said it many times that AFC Cup are fixed.
