Varzesh 3 had a very good analysis based on a fan video clip that shows the celebrating players, faghani and most importantly, sound of his whistles.
Re Mansaf vs Manhood debate, It is highly unlikely that Faghani saw that from his angle and distance and interpreted that in the way that is being suggested.
The card was for time wasting/excessive celebration. Faghani ran towards them and blew his whistle to signal to the celebrating players to get back. He blew it again about 15 seconds later and they all started to come to the side of the field. Ayman then went to the fans did his gesture, came on to the field and decided to sit and eat. His teammates ran to him to lift him and bring him back and Faghani got triggered and ran and gave him the yellow.
It was a bit harsh because Faghani knew the player had a yellow but Faghani was the judge on the field and was thinking of ensuring that Jordan get their fair time as well. It was well within the rights of the ref.
And this clearly is bad for his tournament and career too. I doubt he will be in any important games in this tournament from now on but AFC has his game report so maybe he will. Anyhow, it's hard being a ref!

Guys I am full team Faghani as shown through my posts but I have one question I cant answer. Jordan celebrated their first goal even longer than Iraq celebrated there’s, so is this really because Aymen celebrated too long? I’m leaning more towards how he was provoking fans, not time spent celebrating

I don't get this Iraqi fetish with sandals. In Iran sandals are mostly used by mothers to teach children how to behave.

The Jordanians sat down to celebrate 30 seconds after the goal and got up after 6 seconds. Aymen decided to sit down after 1 min and after the fact that he was already warned.Originally posted by arj42 View PostGuys I am full team Faghani as shown through my posts but I have one question I cant answer.
