ARJ: 5.5 Thank god GN benched him. He is simply not Team Melli material. Had some poor turnovers again and was partly at fault for the UAE goal

He was definitely at fault. It was his third turnover in same sequence that resulted to their goal. He's so annoying, so many wrong passes and also gives useless freekicks in offence. I'm glad he's not starter. And now I understand why Feyenoord Coach don't start him.

GN nearly died 2 weeks ago due to a bad kidney operation, he initiated an attacking lineup and formation coupled with a high press, introduced Ghayedi into the starting line-up, and changed Saman and Taremi's position. He's pretty brave in my eyes

Unbelievable how corruption is so clear and in your face here. What was that refereeing today?

That ref was corrupt for sure. Every VAR review went against Iran. Penalty, rulling out goals .. a few rough fouls by UAE should have received yellow but got nothing ...this guy was there to ensure UAE doesn't lose by a big margin. A complete asshole this so called ref was.

1st disallowed goal - offside was legit but very tight, basically Gholizadeh was a fingertip offside.
2nd disallowed goal - offside was legit too (disallowed Azmoun goal)
Penalty for UAE could also be deemed ok, but it was a very harsh call, and a yellow for Kanaani was definitely too much.
3rd disallowed goal - they called a foul on Mohebbi in the buildup which was really just a UAE player running into him. Everyone was shocked that the ref disallowed it.

Satisfying performance, should have been 5-1, at least 4-1, UAE got lucky, they were shaken.

I'm totally flabbergasted. How could that referee not allow the third goal by Iran? And he had the opportunity to look at it multiple times. He's either corrupt or not adequately trained. The UAE player clearly blocked Mohebi's path. Just unvbelievable.

Am I the only person who agreed with the ref on 3/4 decisions?

The 2 offside goals that went to VAR WERE offside.
The Kanaani foul WAS a pen.
The Mohebbi goal SHOULD have stood.
