A second round against Tajikistan would be great, I'm now conflicted because before I always thought you should win every game in a competition but maybe Mashsaaed and Webmaster have a point....

My strategy for this game would be:
    don't think about the result
go on to the pitch to address weaknesses and practice to correct them individually
    and collectively.
It is quite likely UAE won't put up a fight and would want to lose to get the second spot and
and easier passage to QF and SF
If a team wants to lose they can do so with even putting up a fierce fight:
field second tier players instruct them to be physical, cause injuries
don't matter if they collect red cards, the more the better. Any team not beating
a 9 players team would raise eyebrows!
So if UAE fields their second tier players, it would be an indication of
their intent. And I would have a strategy to deal with that. It is no good
to come out of this game with a few of your players injured and
cry like a baby. Br prepared for every possible scenario
    Exciting stuff
    Aim fire

^ Mashti jan, when we lose to UAE many come here and complain why we lost and never see the real reason why it happened. There is always a difference between grown men and young ones as the old sees things the young will never see. Full of testosterone but lacking wisdom. Too much hormones I guess. I ask them if we win the Asian cup this way will they complain? I bet you.... no way. This is the real difference. Too much this and that and none of thinking and being wise.

Because iff is incompetent to schedule good friendlies, FANS WANT DESTROY our ac chance of winning TO WATCH TM VS STRONG opponent.

    That's not right.
.right is bracket and which way to go
is number 1 job of tm hc to put us in easiest patern to go far as possible.

Please think about what your oracle is saying.
Oracle want best for you guys.

I believe we must go all out and fight for a win in every single match no matter what the circumstances may be.

Maybe I am old fashioned, but I will never understand this mentality. This is the Asian Cup. You want to prove, that you are the best in all of Asia. So you have to beat the best. Who cares about the brackets? Hell, I want TM to play all powerhouses if possible! I prefer this over playing yet another match against Uzbekistan or Syria or whatever for the 100th time... I want a match against Autralia, Japan and KSA... it's been way too many years, and we won't get any other chances except for in big tournaments like this.
And if TM loses along the way, so be it. I don't want an Asian Cup title, if it was achieved via an easy way. I want the best possible oponents and TM to overcome them, rather than this cowardly mentality...

I would pay good money just to hear a twitter space with ONLY old heads from this forum. That would be incredible and filled with actual insight. Would love to hear the voices of all of you fans who have been here since the 2000s

Imo of all teams we definitely matchup worst against Japan & SK ..! Especially Japan..!
fast, organized, technical , well composed & able to run @ u hard for 90plus minutes..!
besides possible slight edge in hight n physicality can’t think anything we could do better than them & worse still we have abysmal record against them in most all important games..!
sure a fixture vs Iraq n SA even Aussies is likely to be a dog-fight of sorts but we certainly posses the edge in high level experience & more importantly our styles & strengths as team matches up well & overall we possess a favorable head to head record thus the the all important Confidence to face & defeat them ..!

We are representing our country on a quest to prove we are the best team on the continent. Losing on purpose, when representing your country is just plain shameful. And if you want to win the cup, you have to beat the best teams.

We don’t need an “easy” path, we have one of the best squads in the completion and this is their last chance to prove themselves. This team has been around a decade in the making, let’s see what they can really do!

So far Australia, saudi, iraq are in one side, iran, japan and jordan are in the other.

Iraq and japan position are known.

Before our game, we will know if Australia stayed in their side or switch to Japan's one.

After our game, both SK and KSA could "decide" to finish 2nd and change side of the KO bracket.

Basically we can't exactly know which side is better before our game. And anyway, jordan, iraq can very easily GN circus team out. At least against KSA, Japan.. Maybe our players will wake up and play their A game
