This is what many of us said but you were so confident, unrealistically in my opinion, about us winning the tournament.

These types of mistakes are what you expect from a crap manager.

I had a strong feeling we were going to lose vs Qatar by playing a crap game tactically and here we are.... It's bound to happen with these lower grade managers.

Yes it was proven that way and i was wrong about Ghalenoei.
I said from the beginning that no title= GTFO. He is a failure just like CQ now.

However it was also proven that CQ result really was a disaster with TM.
GN with a total of 2 years in charge got the same result as CQ with 10 years of charge.

We lost to Qatar with the wrong tactics yes. Now tell me, if you were so confident of us losing to Qatar, then what were you thinking before Japan game?

We lost because GN got scared when it counted. Semifinal time and we go with 2 defensive midfielders. By the time we corrected this in 2nd half it was already too late, although we played much better. Had we played 4-4-2 from the start like we had TRAINED for past 9 months we would have won against both Jordan & Qatar.

Another reason was the celebration after Japan game. It was like the tournament ended there for us.

If you told me this before the tournament id still bet my 🍆 we dont win because we have such fundamental problems from grassroots that we cant win a tournament and EVEN if we get far enough based on luck and determination, the coach and defence was too shit.

Are vall, sometimes I think that Iranian Fans do deserve mor than this. I dont know how many years we have been cheering for the National Team and they have not delivered jack shit. Last time they delivered something was Asian Cup 2004 when they came third place and got bronz.

Unpopular opinion but i don't want anyone on current squad to be in the next tournament. They have all showed that they mentally can't deal with high pressure games, over and over again. Slowly phase out everyone during WCQ (they're good enough for the qualifiers but can't perform in the tournaments) and by the time WC arrives 0 of the current squad should be included. That includes guys like Taremi, Ghoddos, Jahanbakhsh & Taremi.

For example Azmoun can't score in WC even if his life depended on it.
Jahanbakhsh has been involved in all 6 of the latest tournaments, nothing good comes out of him.
Taremi & Ghoddos, what can i say...RIDAN vs Portugal, USA & Qatar. Enough is enough.
