i recall earlier plan was for him to go directly to Milan for the medical test and signing formalities after the 2nd leg of Arsenal game.!!

this was a wise move to keep the process under wraps, as Porto fans who are already on the edge with this transfer, certainly would have gone ape-shitt on Mehdi had they seen Taremi's picture all over football media holding an Inter shirt and smiling ...!! and that shortly after an agonizing PK shootout defeat in 1/8 final of UCL ..! lol

If he is indeed going to Inter, he'll have a solid chance to prove himself. But at best, it might be a bench role for a couple of years before he's making keesh with the Arabs.

he sure woulda gotten much more action there than in Inter next season.... especially if as reported Inter sign another marquee striker this off season..!! he obviously was eager to join ACM too, however Porto essntially fked him out of it.
the good thing with the Inter move though is that they often/always? play with 2 strikers and like similar to sardar he thrives best with an attacking partner..! also Inter has a far better coach and surrounding cast/wholesome squad, capable of competing formidably across all competitions, so essentially better chances at end of season accolades/silverware..!

perhaps less expectations of immediate impact and pressures to perform well at Inter than it woulda been trying to replace Giroud at AC...!!?

I mean is being a backup option at Inter really that bad of a thing? He will still get decent time in rotation and might be decent for his aging knees not having to play every single game. Plus he will be coached by Inzaghi. Plus Thuram is leaving too probably.
