Play uncapped and young players against Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan but play our best line up against Uzbekistan or Oman in the final. Uzbekistan on their turf or a vastly improved Oman side under Branko would provide a very good test for our TM.

So, I'm against sending our European based players to holiday after the club seasons ends.

      Play A team vs Kyrgyzstan & Oman/Uzbekistan.
The reserve players can play against Afghanistan.

As we will continue to struggle with proper friendlies in the upcoming months leading up to the AC i would take a full strenght team for this tournament. Invite some young players like Hosseinzadeh and Rostami and let them get some experience in the first match against Afghanistan, 2nd match against Kyrgyzstan a mixture of young plus main players and a full strength team for the final against Uzbekistan/Oman. I highly dount we will even face better teams all the way until
        the AC.

Another thing to consider is that the footballing world is tired. Any player that played in the WC had a chance of playing their league, world cup and knockout competitions this year without any break. Even the fittest players on Man City, Manchester Utd, Real Madrid etc are getting injured. Our players at the top of the pool need a break to reset prior to next season.

Shoja Khalilzadeh and Ali Gholizadeh won't be part of the squad due to injury.

Team Omid is gonna participate in a friendly tournament in Iraq in June which is probably around the same time as CAFA Nations Cup, so probably the following players if selected for Team Omid will miss the CAFA tournament as well:

Amin Hazbavi, Amirhossein Hosseinzadeh, Mohammadhossein Eslami, Saman Touranian, Saman Fallah, Amirali Sadeghi, Mehdi Hasheminejad, Yasin Salmani, Allahyar Sayyadmanesh, Aria Barzegar.

This cafa competition is only created, so iran can go around sanctions and process money laundering.

Players who will not be going to CAFA, so far are:

Ali Gholizadeh, Shoja Khalilzadeh - both out due to injury.

Payam Niazmand, Abolfazl Jalali, Shahriar Moghanlou - all three are Wild Cards for Team Omid at WAFF U-23 Championship in June hosted by Iraq and then they will play with Team Omid in Russia.

Mehdi Hashemnejad, Mohammad Amin Hazbavi - both are confirmed players for Team Omid at WAFF U-23 Championship in June hosted by Iraq and then they will play with Team Omid in Russia.

One thing that I noticed is that those Iranians who support Palestine, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, who do not care about Iran's territorial integrity, the sacred name of "Persian Gulf" are p***ed off with CAFA tournaments and do not want to see regular matches with fellow Persian speaking nations of Tajikistan and Afghanistan. Such insults towards CAFA member nations and tournaments must stop.

Let me emphasize that Iran is not an Arab country, Persian language which is the official lingua-franca of Iran belongs to Indo-European language family. Those whose decades-old Arabization project of Iran, erasing "Persian Gulf" name, replacing "Persian language" with "Arabic", disintegration of Iran so far has not been successful and hopefully will never materialize.

I personally wish to see more CAFA Nations Cup, Navruz Cup, regular friendlies between Iran, Tajikistan and Afghanistan. Also like to see more cooperation in other sports as well. Long live Iran, Persian Gulf Forever.

Also please note that CAFA's HQ is in Dushanbe (Tajikistan). All main administrators are from Tajikistan. The bulk of tournaments hosted by Tajikistan, and few by Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. Iran a country with a population of more than 80 million, Iran football/futsal/beach soccer teams with high FIFA ranking has not even hosted a single CAFA tournament! There are no decent stadiums in Iran, yet Iraq builds modern stadiums from Iran's Beytolmal.

Team Melli plays Afghanistan and Kyrgyz Republic in the group stage. If Team Melli tops the group, then has to play Winner of other group (Uzbekistan, Oman, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan). If Team Melli somehow gets second place in the group stage then has to play the second place team of the other group, if Team Melli comes bottom of group then Afghanistan and Kyrgyz Republic will be the only games

Okay....and what's that got do with anything i said??? CAFA tournamnet is created for IR to go around the sanctions and do money laundering.

I personaly think Nourooz CUP Idea is very elegant way to show our culture to the world . It would be awesome way to bring farsi speaking nations together. Tajikestan , Turkmenestan , Dagestan , Afghanistan and even bahrain and some part of india.

You used an offensive insulting label for CAFA. I already explained that FFIRI are incompetent and have not even hosted a single CAFA event. As for IRI going around sanctions it is done via countries outside of Stan countries, so it would be places like Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, Yemen, UAE, Qatar, China, Russia, Panama, Venezuela, Senegal, etc.

I also explained those who fume about CAFA are mostly those who consider Iran an Arabized nation and see CAFA as an obstacle to be in harmony with Arabs (Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Yemen, Qatar, etc). For those it is very easy just to look the other way when Arabs insult Iran and history by not using "Persian Gulf", some of those indifferent Iranians even suggested renaming Persian Gulf to "Islamic Gulf" or "Gulf of Middle East". Incompetent FFIRI ever since after the World Cup been begging Arab countries for friendlies which Iraq, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar all refused, but then they've been getting very cosy with Arabs played two friendlies with Saudi Arabia at youth level, they got Iraqi referees for friendly with Kenya, Team Omid got invited to WAFF U-23 Championship hosted by Iraq, and they are working towards friendlies with Oman and Saudi Arabia, and possibly participating at Jordan Tournament during October FIFA days. So looks like we won't see Team Melli face African, Latin American and European teams!
