Whit the current situation in shithole I.R Iran i am not suprised at all.

I really dont get how some folks here really belived that a merited foreign coach sat and waited to work whit a bunch of anti Iranian I.R monkeys in a country in a revolution turmoil and not getting paid in time either.

If we’re going to win it with an iranian coach Ghalenoei is our best bet.

Whether we like it or not.

Ghalenoi is the best possible selection.

1.Iranian better than foreign right now: In the precarious era, politically and economically, an Iranian coach is the best selection. Being paid in dollars and on time always opened us to a Wilmouts type situation. Also Ghalenoi would be aware of all of the political minefields that plagued the team under CQ.

                    2. A younger newer Iranian coach could have us playing an exciting modern brand of football but that would require time to implement time that we don't have...we need a coach who is pragmatic and knows how to win.

                    3. Iranian players who have played with bigger coaches always may turn on a coach who has not won big....a Skocic/Branko/Ghotbi type situation... Of all the coaches in Iran, Ghalenoi is the winningest and least likely to lose respect.

Yeah because CQ surely was better with those embarassing losses to Iraq & Japan.

What a disaster. An IR bisavad with ties to the corrupt football mafia.

yes because the mastermind of the Khatibi and Enayati “the infamous Jenazeh” combo who couldn’t get past the quarterfinals in the AFC while having Bundesliga, series A and La Liga players on his roster is a brilliant move forward in the days of modern age football

That was 16 years ago and he was correctly fired after that exit. He’s a much better coach now and deserves a 2nd chance.

If he doesn’t win the AC he’s out, nobody is saying anything else.

That’s how it should be. If you fail you’re out.

Not like that worthless clown CQ who was hailed as a hero after QF loss to Iraq… Iraq ffs
