Iran's journalists just went full aggro
They asked Tyler Adams how he feels representing a country with such a bad history of mistreating black people, why there is a warship so close to Iran in the Persian Gulf, why Iranians are not given visas to the US, but Americans given visas to Iran etc..

At first the journalist scolded Berhalter and Adams for mispronouncing Iran as Eye-Ran and not EE-RAAN. Then he asked that question and Tyler Adams said "There is discrimination wherever you go, one thing I’ve become aware of having lived abroad … we [the US] have continued to make progress … education is super important, as you just educated me … it’s a process and as long as you see progress, that’s the most important thing..."Originally posted by allan123 View Post

The American players responded as well as they could.
Looking at the reaction online, it seems alot of non-Iranians and non-Amercians understand that the Iranian journalist(s?) was trying to troll after the political questions Iran was getting.
However, from what I've seen US press has been pretty quiet. It was the British press that asked the most political questions. Should have saved those for Southgate.

Prob in reaction to Klinsman too since he holds American citizenship and has been a vocal us supporter in past.Originally posted by Nokhodi View PostThe American players responded as well as they could.

Brilliant? He was asked to comment on Iranian football culture for those who are not familiar and he said "no comment"...I think he misunderstood as if he was asked to comment on Klinsman?Originally posted by inarsenewetrust View Posthttps://www.fifa.com/fifaplus/en/tou...onference-iran
