Thread to show support for TM players

About 6 months ago, on Azmoun's Bayer Leverkusen thread, I mentioned I am going to buy Sardar's jersey and hang it at the local pub I frequent. Well, I actually did buy the jersey, and convinced the pub owner to let me hang it up. Of course, in the process, I moved over Ronaldo's jersey
I've been thinking of doing the same for Taremi's jersey, and after today's brace, I think I am going to see if I can convince the pub owner to let me hang Taremi's jersey up also.

they are openly supporting an opponent from a country which was instrumental in installing a MULLAH regime in Iran, 44 years ago.Originally posted by Abtin View Post
IG is full of videos with people in iran celebrating the loss. Makes me sick... I too feel so bad for these guys.

Well said.Originally posted by nisfejahan View PostI know the result was disappointing. But I am proud of the TM players nevertheless. Under very difficult circumstances, where different groups are taking potshots at them, they showed up and played.
Many TM players and/or their family members read these pages. I would like to let them know that we are proud of them regardless. Playing with everything that is going on is brave enough.
I encourage all to show your support. Let the TM players know we support them, win or lose. The silent majority has always understood that TM plays for its people, and not its government. Don't let the loud and obnoxious minority discourage the players.
Long live Iran. Long live Team Melli. Long live the brave people of Iran. Long live the courageous women of Iran.
Ironically the players are getting a lot of respect for their bravery from English and other fans.

I have also seen the videos. Iranians can be disgusting people, I am ashamed to be Iranian when I see the undignified, disgusting, spineless behaviour these people show. The boys were subjected to inhuman pressure, they were suddenly the navel of the Iranian world, responsible for everything bad that happens in this world.
You know what's really sad, here in Germany right now the Iranian national team is being celebrated as heroes, everybody is talking in the media about how heroic Team Melli is because they didn't sing the anthem and Iranians are showing up saying they are not heroes because they are a regime team.
And actually Germans are discussing on social media with Iranians and shaking their heads and not understanding what Iranians expect and why they are not celebrating TM as heroes. GERMANS DEFEND TEAM MELLI MORE THAN US IRANIANS! Let this sink.
One of the public broadcasters posted as a cover picture, showing Team Melli and it is written. Maybe Iran lost the match, but Team Melli already won before the match.
And there are these Vatanforusha who dance!

They both commented how brave it was of boys not sing the anthem.

I mean, after all, the European teams don't even wear their Fake Pride captain's armband, even though they have nothing to fear in terms of problems, and and they have backed down. And then there is our team, which stood like lions.Originally posted by The View Post

What all the members are reporting about Iranians (celebrating opponents win, etc.. ) is making me lose faith on iranians and future of Iran. I already knew about this vatanforoush thing but didn't expect that much. Maybe Iran is a lost cause and supporting Iran and hoping a successful future is vain? Don't know what to think..Originally posted by Surenas View PostI have also seen the videos. Dadash, I don't know either. It's one thing that we're sad about everything that's happening in Iran, but this submissiveness when Iranians say West help us and post @CNN, @FOX, @HillaryClinton etc. is just degrading. We Iranians have been humiliated for 200 years by Europe, be it Russia, England or the USA, they did what they wanted with our people and our nation. We gave ourselves a liberal constitution and they invaded, we went our own way and they divided us, we nationalised the oil and they overthrew our government. What in all love do Iranians expect from the people who humiliated us for 200 years? When I see videos like this, it just disgusts me.Originally posted by PSGman#19 View Post
