Results don't matter as much as the experience and learning lessons. As long as everyone came out healthy and unscathed, it's a successful pre-tournament friendly in my book.

    Lots of great experience here...

    1. Player gets penalty....reminder to everyone to keep decipline..esp our youngest player.
    2. Played short for 30 minutes. Learn to have a strategy when disaster happens and not fall apart
    3. Learn to deal with/maintain strategy when we fall one or two goals behind...a likely scenario.
    4. Many players saw action.

Not so good that we missed chances and no one scored.

Despite friendlies not being too important as everyone was given a chance to play and we played 10 men against a very physical team; substituting goalies in a game against an opponent which we always lose against is kinda too much and unnecessary honestly. That’s the part I don’t understand. Even though many say: “experienced coaches don’t go into tournaments with wins only to screw their team’s statistics and law of probabilities” but I say a good result in the last match could have given the team more confidence. Nevertheless, I hope they learn from their mistakes. And even if they don’t win or tie against England, they come out as victors as humans echoing our people’s battle against theocracy.

I read that Jalali got a red card in the box and then Tunisia scored the resultant penalty. A few minutes later they scored the 2nd.

Either way I wouldn’t sweat it. This is what these games are for.

Also, per Kateb Statistics, it's good that we lost this game, makes it more likely we'll succeed in the WC.
Lmao honestly kateb should start one of those football analytic twitter accounts that tweet during games.

well both goals were conceded after we went down to 10 men. Makes sense.

And we know tunisia are a quality opponent. Besides a heavy loss to brazil they beat japan 3-0 and chile 2-0 in consecutive matches at the Kirin cup. They also gave us problems last cycle when we played them and lost in tunisia.

As for what can actually be gathered from the reporting: Since one Milad and Jalali were on the field the entire time, prior to jalali's red, hajsafi's 45 mins must have been as CM. No sardar means he will probably only be ready for 15-20 mins vs england if at all. Good that he is back in full training though.

Wont be surprised if CQ starts with Hajsafi Saeid Ghoddos in CM line, like starting xi vs uruguay.

Why do so many write BS here ?

All players played except of Abedzadeh, Niazmand and Azmoun.

Jalali was sent off for Hand, Tunisia scored a penalty on this and Iran played around 30 min with 10 players and lost 2-0.

Source Golbezan, the sexiest source of iranian football

Friendlies are not an indications of how teams will perform at world cup (including the European nations League cup) as coaches trying to figure out their strategies and best 11, etc. As of today forget past results as World cup is a different animal.
