Unfortunately That's still 3 defeats waiting to happen, with all three of them potentially being humiliations.

Mimo was the only ok defender against England. Starting Cheshmi that game was insane by CQ.

Milmo was the cause we conceded at least 3 goals that tournament. The amount of crosses that came from the left side from Saka (and especially Dest in the US game) is what ultimately cost us tournament. In fact US goal was a cross from Dest -> Pulisic header if you remember.

Funny enough I remember a Jahanbakhsh interview saying the boys stayed up analyzing how USA usually scores goals, and that it comes from the left side usually. They went into the game knowing Dest was trying to find Pulisic and still didn't man mark him...

I can't disagree with that take. Yes they will get lazy if we get a New Zealand or something like that.

The problem is our team and even worse our coach don't know what difficult is and what easy is.

GN is going to see us in a group with Norway and think we have an easy path and then Haaland, Sorloth, and Odegaard are going to attack Shoja and Kanaani like Iranians attack tahdig at the family function

We already got a taste of Milad Mohammadi vs Saka 4 years ago. I do not want Shoja going against Yamal, Argentina, France, etc. Honestly hope we get a team like Brazil/Netherlands/Belgium especially now that Lukaka is out.

three hosts (USA - 13, Canada - 28, Mexico - 15 ; FIFA Ranking right now) = 3 reserved POT A teams.

12 groups - means for us, that out of the (rest) 21 teams which will be in Pot A (9 teams beside the three hosts) and Pot B (12 teams) with the actual FIFA Ranking (Mexico and USA will stay between the first 21 teams, and canada will be outside of 21 teams) we must end up (finish) in the FIFA Ranking before December 5 under the TOP 22 teams.

Right now we are placed 20 in the ranking, but european and african qualification started/start soon so they will make bigger points. we have no official matches.

For our friendlies, we should right now choose them the way, that we win them and finish TOP 22 in fifa ranking for december 5 draw.

We should win all CAFA matches and friendlies. After beeing in POT B go for bigger friendlies for the year 2026.

POT C means for me personally we will not make the next round. even Pot B with a bad draw and i am not optimistic, means not qualifiying as one of the eight third-placed teams for the next round.
