"This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh

Incompetence republic of Iran..... why do we even hope that we will win anything whit these dalghaks?Originally posted by taremiscores View Post
Its the same rollercoaster every damn time and in the end we fans get the choob in our Team melli hearts.
Its simple, if you want a strong building you need a strong foundation, and foundation is something we never had since 1979, thats why we always choke, even if we have had squads good enough to win the AC since 1996.

He has some good attributes. He can dribble, can run at pace with the ball, is a good finisher, can score unconventional goals at bad angles. He can be a good sub player at TM when we are down and need a goal.Originally posted by PSGman#19 View Post
I just want to understand why this guy can still be that much hyped and rewarded for literally doing nothing

That's theorical or about someone else right? Because he has also a lot of flaws for high level competition.Originally posted by AhuraMazda1 View Post

Btw even Nourollahi, DM, has better stats than him in UAE

I really hope from fan to fan from iranian to iranian that nobody has any expectations from tm in asian cup, i mean i wont even be 1% sad if we exit in the first round ...... if iran wins great but i dont destroy my life anymore with dumb expectations .......there was a time i expetced tm to beat big teams .... while in truth i should have been happy about tm having jeryes even

Why not both? I think at this point having watched TM choke so many times, I still root for them in every tournament as a fan of the sport. I know the team faces countless afflictions of negativity, but that shouldn't stop us from cheering for them every time. If we lose so be it...the fun is all about getting immersed into these things and recovering from the disappointment/celebrating the highs. Otherwise why even follow them?Originally posted by Mahsaa View PostI really hope from fan to fan from iranian to iranian that nobody has any expectations from tm in asian cup, i mean i wont even be 1% sad if we exit in the first round ...... if iran wins great but i dont destroy my life anymore with dumb expectations .......there was a time i expetced tm to beat big teams .... while in truth i should have been happy about tm having jeryes even
If TM losing major games ruins you for a few days/weeks then I agree that its probably better to detach from it a little, but otherwise its normal to feel sad/disappointed the day or two following a major event of a team you've been following for years and years.

Well truthfully we are in a group with a wartorn country, an economic possession(not a country), and a group of Emirates.Originally posted by Mahsaa View PostI really hope from fan to fan from iranian to iranian that nobody has any expectations from tm in asian cup, i mean i wont even be 1% sad if we exit in the first round ...... if iran wins great but i dont destroy my life anymore with dumb expectations .......there was a time i expetced tm to beat big teams .... while in truth i should have been happy about tm having jeryes even
If we can't get out of the group(as a third place team even) the entirety of IFF should unalive themselves.
Expecting to get out of the group is the most minimum of minimums.
