I also just went and read Khabar Varzeshi. The supposed legionnaire who may get cut is Abedzadeh, not Azmoun.

Would make sense as he wasn’t even in the squad list for his club this week.

I know but the rumors online are referring to khabar Varzeshi as the source.

I don’t believe it’s an Azmoun issue because CQ always takes injured players he likes to the WC, even if they sit on the bench the whole time.
He’s also proud enough to resign if asked to do such a thing.

The squads were never announced publicly in the last 2 tournaments and everything was done last minute. 2014 Khalatbari was cut in the last minutes, and Seyed Jalal in 2018.
