    guys,

as I said in my post, it is too early to make comparisons thats why I made a question mark.
Its not about them being similiar in style, its about the same sort of development they both had.... both gained expereinces outside - in case of GHOTBI at least for now - I agree one has to wait and see the development... as I stated in my original post.

As far as things are going for Ghotbi now, I see the same pattern Mahajerani went.. and it looks good for now. hope it will be the same by the end of the season.

It's way too early to make any judgements on him as a head coach.

He's got only a couple of games under his belt.

as I said,in the other thread, I see him to be the TM head coach, for the next world cup, as well as winning this year's league championship....
how ever, one point worth mentioning,is what happened after the game against paykan...in which, IRIB was showing many tv reporters were after him and asking him questios about the game, but he said nothing, not a single word.......and totaly agnored the media.....as when the same thing happened, with stili, he also refused to answer, and only said, the club management has asked him,not to say anything !!!!, which one may conclude, that, the perspolise manegment, has not liked ,Ghotbi's arrogance, and bragging.....as he has been saying all the time, that he will win the league.......so, it appears that , from now on, either Gotbi, will be very silent ,or he will be fired !!

FAR too early to make claims of any sorts.

We Iranians tend to have a knee jerk reaction to things ! We all must develop more patience.

as we have a saying in Iran: Hanooz jaye seft nashashideh !
Ghotbi has been a coach of a club for the grand total of 4 games only!
wait till the end of season and then he'd be worth discussing. even then, I wouldnt go so far as to give him the TM !

to be honest, although I have a lot of respect for Mohajerani, I think he was overrated... even when he took Iran's National team to the WC a lot of people knew he is too small for our team.. and He never did anything noteworthy since 1979...

Ghotbi, although not accomplished as a head coach, at least is highly educated and has gained vast experience working with some great international coaches..

But as Kaz said, they are just too different..

Two different coaches really. One was more a leader in a psychological sense and the other is much more astute tactically.

Can Ghotbi be a second Mohajerani of Iran?

If you think about it, both seem to have some similiarities.

Both are well educated. Wise thinking

Mohajerani had gained all his coaching expereinces for some years outside Iran, when he returend, all his wills turned into success. He was accepted and respected by players and had just an excellnt resume with TM.
Iran the only team not lossing any single game in Asia from 1976-1978, un-beaten for two yeras. The style of our football changed from an old fashioned English "Kick and Rush" to at that time a more modern level.

Now Ghotbi, has the same pattern, as it seems. Educated, wise thinking,
gained coaching experiences outside Iran working with some great international coaches. Now in Iran, he seems to have all respect of the players and we fairly see in the game style of Perspolis some major improvements in the speed and play combination of their game.

Its too early to compare them, we yet have to wait and see his long term achievments as head-coach.. but certainly some similarities can be observed now already.

Maybe the best what we need is really a Vatani coach, with experiences outside... who understands our football mentality best, yet has the knowledge and experience of international level... the media and ppl seem to respect him for being that!

Hope to see the same success of Heshmat Mohajerani in Ghotbi as well
