    ===================

some of GN's appointments for assistants is very peculiar and strange.
ebrahimi just cannot add anything to the team.
his use would have come if we had a foriegn coach who would need a vatani guy to establish direct links to players and relate to them. more so as an old-timer or peesh kesvat.
under an iranian coach? he's useless.
if it was a trainer GN wanted, well he has komaasi. so why ebrahimi?
I suspect he had ss-pp in mind and tried to bring in some pp ppl so iranians wouldnt say : "oh, he has brought only his own club's ppl "! or some such crap !
which makes no sense at all !

    peyrovani is another one.
    nice guy, I'm sure.
but he doesnt have any experience in coaching.
how the hell did he get not a club or youth level TM, but TM SENIORS appointment?
    based on what accomplishments ?

I personally think Dr Z and Jalali are much more knowledgable as well. But I guess you guys don't realize Ebrahimi was the coach of many of the palyers (including Parvin himself). This guy has been around for ages. So, he enjoys the status as the so called "peeshkesvat". Not agreeing with it, just sharing with you a potential reason.

Beleive it or not, at least in Iran there is this impression that Ebrahimi keeps himself updated !!!!!! (I know what you think,) at least with Iranian standards. Ok I am laughing as I am typing this too. But I guess this guy knows how to create the image.

He has the degree, the experience and physically fit more than most of our players!! and to me thats really important, at this age and for all of these years he had to have abided by the rules that he preeches and you have to have an awfull lot of disciplin to have aerobi and anaerobic scores as he had...
    Agha perspolees,

Did you see that picture in TM traning camp, Koomasi showing his belly to MahdaviKia, the guy in that age, has literally no belly fat, less than MahdaviKia which is a pro footballer. I take a guess and say Koomasi's body fat percentage is below 10% which is amazing.

ali jan, komaasi may "say" such things. but I dont think he is able or our players would get there in time !
yes, the intent is very correct.
but I think the phys-trainer we had under MK ( forgot his name. mehdi-nia ? something-nia ) was far better than komaasi.
komaasi is only more well known becoz of his association with pp and parvin.
and those games are at IPL level.
we all know IPL physical levels are nowhere near the top asian teams' !
we need to step UP not maintain IPL's levels.

zz jan, malaysia is NOT the weakest, I assure you.
also our group is pretty tough compared to some others.

IPL games aren't that high pace and all, but there are certian teams the play strenght based, physical tight games. PP under Parvin, didnt' have much but grinde and high pressure football. I think there was even stats about goals PP scroed which was in 60th minutes and afterward. That in large part was due to Koomasi and running these PP players in the hills around Northern Tehran. Beleive me that running in the hills maybe isn't the most sceientific way to do fitness work, but does majic to players legs. They can run like a horse the whole god damn game.

in jan when i asked nosrati about the phsyical trainer of the team, he shook his head and said, "khob komasi ham bad nist, ba tajrobast".
i think he meant we could have had better physical trainers.

The link http://www.ozfootball.net/ark/Socceroo/Socceroo.html gives the international results for Australia since 1922. Last year they beat the current European Champs Greece 1-0, and tied Holland 1-1.

If we want the Asian Cup we have to overcome these guys and it just won't be easy. Other info can be found on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Austral..._football_team , the more I read the more I am afraid we will have trouble vs the Socceroos.

I would like to be optemistic here, and wish for the best.....BUT !!!

    the good news are :

1- Malaisia is among the weakests of all hosts.
2-Malaisia has better facilities, and better weather.
3-Our group is among the weakests.
4-We have individualy more experinced players, and more legioners with better class football.
    5-There is less distraction,compaire to branko's time.
    .......................................

    the bad news are :

    1-players have less chamistry.
    2-Ghalenoee is less of a coach,less preparation,less surprises,less management,less player's respect.
3-There is less entangebles !,that is to say, there is less enthusiasem,no WC to look up to, no high fifa rank,no forign coach, not as much attention.
    .........................................

    Bottom line :

China and uzbakistan, ordinarly, should not cause any problem, although,TM is less dominating, slower, and less imaginative, and more predictable.
We should reach the next stage, although not easily !
The next stage is where we will have tough time, and can only advance,if ghalenoee show some surprize off his sleeves !!

    .........................................
My prediction,is ,we will have secound round exit, and more respect for Branko !
