Tasnim – TEHRAN, Ali Karimi has recently been participating in Persepolis training sessions and media reports have speculated that he is going to come out of retirement.

Karimi announced his retirement from football at age 36 in July despite having several offers from Iran’s premier league clubs.

Karimi, who has already played for Fath, Persepolis, Al-Ahli, Bayern Munich, Qatar SC, Al-Sailiya, Steel Azin, Schalke 04 and Tractor Sazi, has said he has no intention to return to football and he participated in the training sessions at the behest of Persepolis coach Hamid Derakhshan.

Internationally, Karimi has been capped 127 times since making his debut in October 1998, and has scored 38 goals.
