TEHRAN TIMES – TEHRAN,  Former Persepolis striker Nazem Ganjapour died at the age of 70 on Thursday.

According to Persepolis club, Ganjapour passed away after attending the 2013 Freestyle World Cup in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.

Ganjapour is the first Persepolis player who scored in Tehran derby against arch-rival Esteghlal.

He played just one match for the Iran football team against Pakistan on November 24, 1967.

One minute silence was observed in memory of him before the match against Aluminum and Persepolis in Bandar Abbas.
