Persepolis defeats Omani club Al-Oruba in friendly

Tasnim – TEHRAN, Persepolis of Tehran football team defeated Al-Oruba from Oman 6-4 in a friendly match on Saturday.

The two teams paid tribute to late Persepolis captain Hadi Norouzi in the 24th minute.

Ali Alipour scored a hat-trick, Farshad Ahmadzadeh was on target twice and Jerry Bengtson scored one goal for the Iranian side.

On Friday, Persepolis arch-rival Esteghlal lost to Sweden’s Hammarby 2-1 in Stockholm.
