Tasnim – TEHRAN, Iran Football Federation (IFF) has cancelled the friendly match with Iraq after it didn’t reach agreement with its Iraqi counterpart on the place of the match.

The match had been scheduled to take place in Tehran on November 6 but the Iraqi federation has requested the math to be played in Abu Dhabi, where Iraq will face the UAE nine days later in the World Cup qualifier.

The Iranian federation has not accepted the request and the match has been called off.

Iran prepares for the match against Syria in Group A of the 2018 World Cup qualifier which will be played at the Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium in Seremban, Malaysia on November 15.
