Team Melli has been pitted against Portugal, Mexico, and Tahiti in Group B.
Portugal is the current FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup champion and Tahiti is the runner-up.
Group A consists of the UAE (host), Russia, Argentina and Egypt.
The fifth edition of the Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup will be held at the Dubai International Marine Club from November 3 to 7.
Russia has won two titles in 2011 and 2012 while Iran has claimed the title one time in 2013.
Brazil also won the championship in 2014.
