Tehran Times – TEHRAN, While The Croatian Football Association has sacked national coach Niko Kovac following thepoor results in the Euro 2016 qualifying matches, Persepolis coach Branko Ivankovic insists that nobody has called him for the job so far.

“Over the last couple of the years, I’ve been a candidate for Croatia job but each time there was something missing. It is an honor for every trainer to coach his national team but this time nobody has called me for the job.

“On the other, hand I’m currently under contract with Persepolis and I’m committed to this team and its fans,” Branko told in an interview with Persepolis official website.

Croatia hopes of reaching Euro 2016 suffered a setback following a 0-0 draw in Azerbaijan and a 2-0 defeat in Norway.

Persepolis, who will take on Saipa on September 16th, is currently in the 14th place with just four points from five games.
