IPL: Esteghlal, Sepahan Win

Loading...Tasnim – TEHRAN, Tehran’s popular football team, Esteghlal, and Sepahan of Isfahan defeated their rivals in the second week of the Iranian Professional League (IPL) on Friday.
Esteghlal defeated Malavan 2-0 thanks to a first-half brace from Omid Ebrahimi.
Sepahan also defeated Zob Ahan 1-0 in Isfahan derby. Ali Karimi scored the only goal of the match in the 73rd minute.
In Tabriz, Tractor Sazi beat Gostaresh Foolad 3-1 and newly-promoted Esteghlal Ahvaz edged Siaah Jamegan 1-0.
Esteghlal remains at the top of the table with six points, followed by Sepahan and Tractor Sazi.
