Tasnim – TEHRAN, Iranian striker Mohammad Ahmadzadeh said Iran is going to advance to the 2015 Beach Soccer World Cup second round.

“We’re on the way to getting up there with the very best in the world, and we have a very clear objective in Portugal: to reach the second round at least,” Ahmadzadeh said.

“After the results we obtained at Tahiti 2013, we’ll be going to Portugal full of confidence and determination. I want to have another good tournament and help my team. I’m aiming to be 100 per cent for the matches, and we’re all going to be working hard in the next few weeks with that goal in mind,” he told FIFA.com.

Ahmadzadeh’s previous World Cup appearances have brought him 13 goals in 13 matches, an excellent record given the standard of opposition.

“Whenever I score I think about my team-mates and I thank them for the help they’ve given me. I try to make the most of each pass I receive by scoring a goal, though I’m always aware of the fact that we’re a team. That’s what our game is based on. Our first objective is to win matches and pick up trophies,” Ahmadzadeh said.
