Tehran Times – TEHRAN, Persepolis coach Ali Daei said that on Monday he has no plans to resign at the end of the season.

Persepolis is fifth in Iran Professional League table, six points adrift of leader Foolad. The team finished in first place at the end of the first half of the season.

Mohammad Rouyanian stepped down as general manager of Persepolis last month and financial crisis has affected the football club.

“The officials of the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs have told us they are going to remove the obstacles,” Daei said.

Daei denied the reports that he will step down as Persepolis coach at the end of the season.

“I don’t know where the rumors came from. I’ve signed a three-year contract with Persepolis and I want to keep it going unless they don’t want me to stay,” he added.
