Tehran Times – TEHRAN, Braunschweig goalkeeper Daniel Davari has admitted he would love to play for Iran football team.

The 25-year-old year was invited to Iran football team in March in the 2015 AFC Asian Cup qualification but failed to make his debut against Kuwait.

“Now, I’m just concentrating on playing for Iran football team in the 2014 World Cup. It’s one of my biggest dreams that has not come true,” Tasnim news agency quoted Davari as saying on Saturday.

Davari made his Bundesliga debut against Borussia Dortmund and showed a good performance during the match but they lost to the German powerhouse 2-1.

“To stay in Bundesliga we have to work as hard as we can. Braunschweig should not be an easy team for the other team,” the keeper added.

Davari was born in Giessen, Germany, from an Iranian father and a polish mother.
