PFDC – HALSTENBEK-RELLINGEN, The former Iranian national team player and former German Bundesliga striker (Hamburger SV, Hannover 96, FC Bayern, VfL Bochum) Vahid Hashemian (36) was in talks over a coaching job at SV Halstenbek-Rellingen, a German 5th division club.

The 36-year-old Iranian who proudly calls himself FIFA A and B coaching certification owner, signed  his first contract as a coach and mentioned his ideas and goals in an interview with “Pinneberger Tageblatt”.

Mister Hashemian, welcome to the Oberliga-Hamburg (5th division).

Vahid Hashemian: Thank you, I’m really excited about my new task. HR is the right place and a good challenge for me.

Why did you decide to stay with this club?

Even though I got my FIFA A and B certification, I still prefer not to work in the professional stage yet, I want to gain experience to build up a basis for the future. I had talks with HR’s coach Thomas Bliemeister, whom I knew from the HSV-Altliga. He understands my situation very well and he was as helpful as HR manager Detlef Kebbe.

You already followed HR’s matches against Curslack (3-2) and Altona (1-1). How was your impression of the team and how can you help them?

My first impression was positive, but I don’t want to talk much about the players. First, I want to start my job and get familiar with the team and the surroundings.
