Persepolis cruise past Al Gharafa [VIDEO]

PFDC – DOHA, Persepolis Tehran achieved the next impressive result in Asian Champions League on Wednesday, defeating Al Gharafa 3-0 in Doha.

Two weeks after thrashing Al Shabab of the UAE 6-1, Gholamreza Rezaei gave the Reds a perfect start, making it 1-0 after a great pass from Ali Karimi.

Only five minutes later goalgetter Eamon Zayed doubled the lead with a deflected shot, following a turnover by Gharafa in midfield and a serving from Mohammad Nouri.

Substitute winger Javad Kazemian then made it 3-0 after 72 minutes, benefiting from a great run and good pass from Maziar Zare.

Mustafa Denizli’s men failed to add more goals, despite Zayed, Rezaei and Kazemian finding themselves one on one with the goalkeeper respectively.

Persepolis lead their group with seven points out of three games, four points ahead of second placed Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia, who were held to a 1-1 draw by Al Shabab.
