AFC Asian Cup trophy set to arrive in Doha

Loading...AFC – DOHA, The AFC Asian Cup trophy will arrive in the Qatari capital on January 3, 2011, by Emirates flight EK841 at 0900 hours local time.
AFC President Mohamed Bin Hammam and Qatar Football Association President Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Bin Ahmed Al Thani will receive the trophy at the tarmac and will hold a brief press conference before the trophy is placed on an open bus for the city tour.
The trophy will be taken to the Countdown Clock area along the Corniche where folk performance will greet the delegates.
After an hour’s stopover, the trophy will be taken to the City Centre Mall and later to Villagio Mall. The trophy’s final destination will be the Cup Museum before it is handed back to AFC.
