FIBA Asia Cup is going on right now in Saudi Arabia. Iran is grouped with Japan, Guam and Syria. Iran won all 3 games with ease and are into round 8. they will face either jordan or Tawian.

I watched a bit of each game and I like what I saw from the team and the Amini. I really like this team better than when Hamid Haddadi was part of it. it seemed like we were playing with one man down all the time as he was just useless.

we are smaller then the previous year but we are fast on transition. let see how we do when we face a tough opponent like china or australia

Iran plays Taiwan tomorrow. If they win, they will most likely face Australia in the semi-finals.

As expected, Iran is CHOCKING when it matters. They are down 16 points at halftime. Ridiculous. pathatic display.

okay I spoke too soon, Iran made the right adjustments at half and came back from behind to win in the last min of the game.

Amini and arsalan stepped up with with help on offense and defense.

Amini is a special talent. What an absolute gutsy performance by the 20 year old.

Phenomenal comeback by the team. We likely lose to Australia as they’re a whole different level but podium finish in 3rd place is attainable
