and they test every single athlete in the Olympics? given everything what happened in weightlifting and wrestling, they should be testing all of these guys!

Guys we are all upset with this loss... I am very devastated... I have never invested so much energy and time for ANY Iranian sports, not even our beloved TM. This one was so difficult... IRIB kept showing Yazdani's house with his parents praying for a win... it was very emotional...
But emotional aside... Yaz came to the finals with a completely different tactics agaisnt DT. He was very defensive. All he was trying to do was to neutralize DT's attacks and it worked for the most part. At the end, the wrestler who was more relentless won and unfortunately it wasn't our pahlevan.

Let's not forget, how our pahlevan won the last Olympics against the Russian. Going down 6-0 and numerous stoppages because of the Russian's wounded head... It took a last second gasp by Yazdani to tie and eventually win the gold medal.
I honestly think he was in countdown mode against Taylor and a small little غفلت cost him gold.

yes, yazdani is always great. this makes makes him even stronger. but gold would have been so sweet.

thank god I could not watch it live. man i hope we get another gold of our last remaining guys/girls. and zare hopefully bronze.
but its very rare to see yazdani losing. somehow I believe he cant lose, not even today.

I hope mentally he copes with the loss and doesn’t hang up his singlet. Losing to Taylor 3 times, specially in the final, could be the tilting point. Devastating seeing his reaction in the photos posted.

0 - 3 against American wrestlers today. I don’t like to politicize these things because at the end of the day these are just athletes who all have a passion for the same sport, but for those who do like to see it as an East-west thing this has got to burn

we have and will find a way. remember guys, we used to struggle alot against turks and russians in wrestling. we now mostly beat the turks and its even against russia. now we have to find out how to beat the american wrestlers. lets believe in us!

Didn't know! How many fewer? Are there any sources on this? Not questioning what you say, just that I want to read more about it.
